Update, VeriShow Dashboard, January 26, 2011

Following the latest 2.0 release, VeriShow was updated with additional an feature:

The VeriShow Dashboard: The VeriShow Dashboard is a desktop add-on that expands VeriShow connectivity to the desktop of a personal computer. The dashboard loads on computer start-up and allows a VeriShow host to be connected to customers or clients without having to be logged into a browser. VeriShow participants who are not session hosts (such as clients and customers) will still connect to the platform from within their browser.

VeriShow Dashboard is available via download and during the installation process may require the installation of Adobe Air®. Once the VeriShow Dashboard is installed, a VeriShow icon will be displayed on the host’s desktop navigation bar. When a client or customer seeks browser-based support through the VeriShow platform, the Dashboard rings; alerting the host that a customer or client is looking for support.

The Dashboard is available in the Account Admin (when logged in to VeriShow). Note that installing the Dashboard is completely optional and it is possible to continue to use VeriShow through a web browser.

Update, October 31, 2010

Following the latest 2.0 release, VeriShow was updated with additional features:

Session recording – VeriShow now records all session events (including text chat and collaboration activities, excluding audio and video conversations). The host of the session can access the recorded sessions through the Session History option under Account Activity (in their account administration). This feature can be very useful for viewing meeting notes.

Inviting participants using a session number – Session hosts can now invite participants to join a session by using a unique session number. The number that is available to hosts through the ‘Invite new participants’ button can by entered by participants in the designated area on the VeriShow homepage. This feature adds another way to invite participants to a session, for example escalating inbound phone calls to a web-based collaboration session.

Telephony (Audio Conference Call) – The Audio and Video (VoIP) capabilities of VeriShow are subjected to Internet bandwidth variations that may affect their performance. Therefore, we added this new feature to provide participants with an additional form of communication to ensure consistency. The telephony feature was added to selected accounts. The host and participants of the session can invite others to join a conference call. They can then dial into a conference call (number available on the left hand side) and communicate over the phone while working together in the live collaboration session. If you are a Professional VeriShow account owner and interested in adding this feature, please contact us.

New Features & Design

Account Administration

The account administration menus have been redesigned and transformed into an intuitive set of menus. The account administrator is provided with easy access to:

  • Account Activities – this menu is the new default menu that appears when you login. It includes our legacy monitoring tools: such as Account Inbox (for monitoring request submitted on missed calls) and the account Session History (form monitoring all your account’s/live rep’s sessions). We have added the following new options:
    • Active Sessions - view all of your accounts currently active sessions – who is hosting the session, who is participating in the session and what is transpiring in the session; for example what application are being used and what content is being shared.
    • Incoming Request Queue – this new queue is for Call Center type implementations. When a customer clicks on the embedded call button, they actually initiate an online session and wait for a Live Rep to join the session. This queue reports these incoming requests. The Account Admin and Live Reps monitor the incoming request queue, and “join” sessions as the requests come in.
    • Billing – provides you with a report of all your financial transaction regarding VeriShow, the number of Seats you are paying for and access to the actual invoices in the 3rd party billing system.
  • Account Content – this menu provides all the tools you need to upload and manage your account content; Documents (majority of media types), videos, Form Templates, Customer Filled forms
  • Account Admin – this menu provides all you need to setup your account and everything required for integrating the VeriShow Call button on your website. We have added a new feature:
    • Billing Setup – this new option provides access to your billing info maintained on in the 3rd party billing system. You can modify what credit card will be charged; acquire Additional Seats and more…
  • Help – We have added a comprehensive set of video tutorials that will easily guide you through the different VeriShow activities and features.
  • Test your Webcam – A new tool that will help minimize issues with your A/V transmission

Enterprise Solution/Private branding

We have added a new VeriShow Enterprise Solution for those seeking seamless integration with their existing websites. This solution provides you the customer with the ability to maintain complete privacy, your Site-Visitors will not even know that they are using VeriShow – since VeriShow will not appear in the URL and in addition you will be able to customize the platform’s color scheme so it matches your own.

This solution is available at an additional cost. It is priced from $10,000 and up, per solution, depending on scope.

Contact us or email us at Info@Verishow.com for all the details.

In the Session

We have enhanced existing features and added new cutting edge applications to our already extensive set:

  • Menu Design – our new applications menu is thumbnail/icon oriented. Less to read more to click.
  • Audio/Video Capabilities – Audio and video are no longer linked and can be used together or separately and the same goes for the session participants – they can choose to be heard and not seen, seen and not heard etc. We have also added a Webinar mode – where participants watch, but cannot participate
  • Sharing Files – All files, whether from your local computer, account content, company files on your company server, Google Docs can be uploaded from a single menu option with a new expanded file chooser
  • Share Screen – you can now easily share your desktop (view only) with the other session participants. This allows you to share anything on your computer with others
  • Screen Capture – ever needed the option of referring back to what u were sharing, for example a training session? The host can now capture any open desktop window, upload the image into the session, collaborate on it with others using VeriShow annotation tool bar and save the result as a pdf for future reference
  • Co-Editing – Text Editing can now be done in parallel and it’s is no longer necessary to transfer control to allow editing, all participants can add text during the session
  • Unit Converter – we have added a Unit Converter application. During your online sessions you can convert length, temperature, speed, volume, computer units and more…
  • Financial Calculator – we have added a financial calculator for those who need to calculate PV, FV, interest rates or payments, or do other financial calculations
  • Chat Translator – it is now both integrated into the chat box also available as a stand alone application allow you to communicate in various languages
  • Weather Forecast - you can also see weather forecast and share that with others whilst in an online session
  • Session Timer – A session timer now appears above the session navigation bar; so if your service is charged by elapsed time this can be monitored throughout the session

Starting a session

Thus far, your customers could click on the embedded call button and you would let the customer join the session without necessarily knowing what the customer has in mind.

We have now added the capability to let the customer start the session and invite you – the Live Rep to join that session. This is a great tool when customers want to discuss content they own such as bills with a customer service rep.

In this new functionality Live Reps monitor the new incoming session queue and join these sessions at will. This will allow Live Rep’s to utilize their time and allow for better monitoring of session traffic.

Bug Fixes

We have invested much time and effort to stabilize our technology to comply with Low-Bandwidth Internet connectivity.

This has rectified issues with audio/video interference and session interrupts.

We have also added a recovery procedure, for lost connections, due to low-bandwidth or Internet connectivity loss. This procedure automatically kicks in when a session participant is disconnected during a session, due to connectivity issues. The session host has clear visibility that a participant has been disconnected and reconnected.
